I drew my first turban
What a guy. I'm glad I got to draw turban guy rather than that dude...
Turbans are fun. I think they're becoming less and less common, but what do I know? Maybe it's because crazy people say they shoot 'em. In any case, I think I'm going to do my part in bringing the turban back. Check this site out here for how to tie a turban. You can get pretty creative with them. Seriously, check this guy out:

MAN! That's guy's head must be in pain! Beautiful, though. I can't wait to see you in one at work!
this blog is very dormant.
Hey, Katie--I miss you at work, and I miss your blogging! We have to go sketching again!
The guy in the big blue turban is a member of a Sikh sect known as the Nihang (aka: the Akali or Akali Nihang). Sikhs are not Muslims nor are they Hindus. The Sikh religion is totally unique and different from both Islam and Hinduism, though there are psalms and poems from both Sufi Muslim mystics and Hindus incorporated into the Sikh holy book. But I digress...
The Sikhs are also a warrior faith, and the Nihang are the most badass of the warrior class.
There's additional information about them here if anyone is interested:
